EmdAde AIDS is a private network organization, independent of any government or association. It is based in Vienna.

The aim of the organization is to conform to standards of the UN-AIDS Centre and to orientate itself towards them.

Under no circumstances will EmdAde AIDS discuss the moral aspects of sexuality or issues such as homosexuality. Similarly, no attempt will be made to touch upon traditional social taboos, to question the values of Persian-speaking countries, or to instigate cultural unrest.

Here, everyone is welcome, regardless of his or her beliefs. Everyone can find information here about AIDS and related diseases.

The Aims of the Organization

1. We would like Persian-speakers to be able to find in the internet more complete and more accurate information about HIV/AIDS, it’s dangers, and its prevention, so that the overall risk of infection is reduced. Sadly there currently exists no cure for this disease. Prevention is therefore the only measure available to us, and it is all the more urgent that people have access to information.
2. The EmdAde AIDS offers a forum for sufferers to meet, to discuss their experiences and problems, and to help one another. They will learn about living together with non-sufferers and about how the disease is dealt with in other countries.
3. EmdAde AIDS plans to create an invaluable database for specialists, who will also be able to form contacts and exchange information.

In addition, the website offers comprehensive information about HIV/AIDS, information that is especially suited for young people, who are exposed, more than anyone else, to the dangers of sexuality and drug use. Parents can use the opinions of experts to better teach their children about sexuality and its associated risks.
